Move-In Schedule

New International Students

Move-in can be no earlier than January 17 and needs to be no later than January 22 for new international students. Please complete the International Education Services Arrival Form. International students arriving before January 17 will be charged $25 per night. Students should check in with the Customer Service Desk at the Towers Complex for key pick up. You may call the duty phone number displayed at the desk if closed.

Move-in Dates

Move-in for all new residential students will take place on Friday, January 22, and Saturday, January 23. To allow for social distancing and to help the process move smoothly, each student will reserve a date and time to move-in.

Unfortunately, due to the preparations for spring, students will not be able to arrive on campus earlier than the beginning of our scheduled move-in process on Friday, January 22.  If you are required to arrive on campus before this date, please contact us to discuss any options that may be available.

Move-in Reservation

To streamline the arrival process, each student will schedule a 90-minute timeframe to arrive on campus to move into the residence halls. Please reserve a time through the following steps:

1.      Log into your Student Portal and select the Student SS tab
2.      Scroll down to Residence Life Section and click on Residence Life Housing Portal (2x)

3.      Click on the appropriate (New or Returning) student tab

4.      Click on “Move in Sign up Process”

5.      Follow instructions to select a date, time, and indicate the number of guests with you & click “Next Step”

6.      Review the time you have selected and click “Select this time slot”

7.      Then click “Finish”

The check-in process will begin at the Show Me Center (1333 N. Sprigg St.). Only two additional people will be permitted to assist as you move into your room. They will be expected to leave the hall within two hours of completing your move-in to help us manage the number of people moving throughout the building during this time.

Carts and dollies will not be available and we ask that you focus on bringing only the necessities with you this semester and leave heavy or large furniture items at home. The fewer items you have in your room the easier it will be to keep clean and ensure you and your roommate have the necessary space within the room.

Classes Begin

Classes begin on Monday January 25, 2021.

Meal Service

Regular meal service begins on Friday, January 22 with the breakfast meal at Starbucks,  Towers, the UC Redhawks Market, and St. Vincent's Commons. Meal plans are not active prior to January 22. You may purchase food from limited Chartwells dining services using cash/credit and Redbucks.

Missouri State Law 754 (section 174.335) requires each student living on campus to have received the meningococcal vaccine, unless the student has a medical or religious exemption. Vaccination records can be mailed to the Office of Residence Life, faxed to 573-651-2557 or emailed to residencelife@ If you have not received an immunization prior to arrival, vaccinations can be obtained at the Campus Health Clinic. The clinic will bill to insurance carriers first and then anything left over will be billed to the student’s account. Proof of your meningococcal vaccine, or a reason for exemption must be on file prior to the first day of classes.
