Mr. Unterreiner joined the Department of Criminal Justice & Sociology as a full-time faculty in 2017.

Before joining the faculty, he worked as a Probation and Parole officer in the 32nd Judicial Circuit of Missouri, as a Youth Care Advisor for the Johnson County, Kansas Department of Corrections, as a juvenile diversion officer for the State of Kansas, and as the juvenile Drug Court Coordinator for Johnson County, Kansas Court Services.

When not working, Mr. Unterreiner enjoys spending time with his wife, Monica, and his two-year old son, Watson. He is also an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and a North Carolina TarHeels basketball fan. He also supports his Redhawks!
