What type of stress relief and start to the semester do you need, Yoga or Drumming? Come out to the Rec and experience relaxing Yoga OR upbeat Drum to the Beat. In Yoga, pretend like you are under the ocean and relax through the variety of postures OR in Drum to the Beat, let your stress out by some high energy cardio combined with drumming. After class, please stay for our coffee bar and light snacks. Sponsored by Recreation Services.
Redhawk Fitness Class Free Preview, through August 31, Student Rec Center
Preview all of our Group Fitness classes for FREE during the first two weeks of classes! Try out our Zumba, Body Barre, Yoga, Pilates, Aerial Yoga, Aerial Fitness, Real Ryder, TRX Training, and much more! We have many classes to choose from, so try them all and find your favorites. A full schedule is located at semo.edu/recservices or imleagues.com. After these two weeks, a semester pass is $45.00 and attend any class you want for the entire semester. A one-time class pass is $4. Note: Make sure to sign up for those classes using our IMLEAGUES App.

Stop by the UC to build your own stress management kit. Pick and choose from a variety of stress relief tools, toys and resources that you can use at any time during the semester to help find positive ways to decompress. Bring your own shoe box to build your kit or we will provide canvas bags

Interested in learning how to teach group fitness classes at the Rec? Come learn with Recreation Services Fitness and Wellness staff in this 9-week professional development class surrounding the ACE Fitness Guidelines.

Join our Redhawk Health Educators and the Campus Violence and Prevention Program in the UC to learn the about safe sex, healthy relationships, STD risks, consent and much more in the Sexual Health fair. We will provide free condoms and lube to all of those who attend the fair to promote safe sex and consent
Lunar Loop Run, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, LaFerla OR Kent Library
Come test your endurance in our fun, well-lit running route around campus. Make various stops to help you glow more as you run! There will be two starting points on campus; near LaFerla and near Kent Library you choose where you would like to start! Please register for this event by signing up through IMLEAGUES or we can sign you up in person the day of the event.
Employee Wellness Screening and Fair, 6 am. – 10 am SRC-East Gym
Attention Southeast Employees! It’s that time of year to get your wellness level in check! Sign up to get your blood pressure, blood lipid profile, bone density, TSH, PSA, lung capacity checked alongside walking through our fair filled with over 30 health and wellness vendors on and off campus. A free breakfast will be provided to all those registered for the screening. Registration will begins two weeks prior to the event so be looking for more updates then.
Redhawk Warrior Night, 8:00 p.m.-10:00 pm Student Recreation Center
Are you a fan of American Ninja Warrior? Come test your own ninja skills on our indoor obstacle course. Finishers receive a T-Shirt while supplies last, winners receive an Intramural Championship T-Shirt!
