At this time, the Law Enforcement Academy is only offering a full-time, 800-hour, weekday class. We no longer offer a part-time weekend class.
Classes begin twice per year in January and July and meet for 22 weeks. Both meet Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students typically get 2 Friday's off per month to take care of personal business, apply for jobs, etc. These classes are held at our Cape Girardeau campus.
The cost for the class depends on whether or not the student is taking the academy for credit bearing or not. The non-credit bearing class is $6,500. The credit bearing class is tied directly to the current tuition rate and therefore varies. Tuition for both classes includes uniforms, books, testing materials, use of academy weapons, and ammunition.
