This course is 4 hours and costs $25. It is held in the classroom at the Law Enforcement Academy at 122 S. Ellis Street, Cape Girardeau.
In this abbreviated course we deal with the need for law enforcement officers to approach verbal contact tactically, and demonstrates how to deal with difficult people without generating conflict. It provides the officer with verbal tools to use, so that difficult people may be brought into compliance without resorting to physical contact.

"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In Continuing Education Programs, which consist of discreet blocks of instruction, the student may receive continuing education credits for those blocks which are actually completed."
