This course consists of 24 hours and costs $350 per officer. The class is limited
to the first 5 participants.
PREREQUISITE: You must already be a firearms instructor to attend this class. Please
submit a copy of your instructor certificate for verification.
This 24 hour course (4 hours classroom, 20 hours range) is designed to give the officer the basic knowledge to teach in-service patrol rifle courses. Weapon deployment, carry condition, transitioning and limitations will be studied. In order to pass this course, the officer must pass a weapon proficiency course of fire.

Due to recent shortages, the law enforcement academy no longer supplies ammunition for completion of this class. Please see the previous section for ammo requirements.
Clients are served on a first come-first serve basis.
Continuing Education Units awarded for the successful completion of this course include:
"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In Continuing Education Programs, which consist of discreet blocks of instruction, the student may receive continuing education credits for those blocks which are actually completed."
