This course is eight hours and costs $50. It is held at the Law Enforcement Academy, 122 S. Ellis Street, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Course Summary:
This course addresses the dynamics occurring before, during and after a hostage situation,
and addresses the best tactical approach for solving these incidents without harm
coming to the hostage, the perpetrator or the responding officers.

Attendance Policy:
"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri
State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of
instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In Continuing Education
programs, which consist of discreet blocks of instruction, the student may receive
continuing education credits for those blocks which are actually completed."
