If your department has a drone, you need to have the FAA Part 107 license. This course is designed to educate first responders in basic drone operation, safety and FAA regulations, from a first responder perspective. Students are also prepared for taking the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot's License Exam. Topics of the class include:
General Operating Rules
Remote Pilot Certification & Waivers, Airspace
Communications & Airport Operations
Weather, Loading & Performance
Maintenence & Inspections
Physiology & Emergency Procedures
Upon successful completion of this course, students have the knowledge necessary to take, and succssfully pass the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot's Examination.

"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion.
