Admission Counselor — Office of Admissions
I joined the Admissions Team in August 2022 and am currently an Admissions Counselor for Southeast Missouri State University. I work primarily with new-incoming students from Southern Illinois, Metro Illinois, and Springfield Illinois.
As a Southeast Missouri native, I attended Southeast Missouri State University after graduating from Cape Central High School in 2016. I graduated as an Honors Scholar from Southeast with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in the Spring of 2020. During my undergraduate years, I worked on campus as a student worker, a Jane Stephens Honors Program Honorary Scholar, and involved in ASCD, Kappa Delta Pi, SMSTA, and New Student Programs. After graduating, I have worked for the past years in a small, rural community as a Middle School Teacher and Science Teacher.
In my free time, I spend the majority of my time on my Appaloosa horse ranch and taking care of my fur baby, Phelicity. I currently own six horses, miniature donkeys, and sheep. I love to attend rodeo events, train horses, go hiking, spend time outdoors, garden, etc.
I love my alma mater, Southeast Missouri State University and I’m thrilled to be working with prospective students!
