Head Athletic Trainer — Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre & Dance
Jacklyn Bascomb-Harrison is the Head Athletic Trainer responsible for providing Athletic Training Services through Southeast HEALTH for the CHART Clinic at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC's) are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide injury care for physically active individuals.
The services provided by ATC's comprise of prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Jacklyn graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Fort Hays State University in 2017 and graduated with her Master in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 2019.
Jacklyn worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Center for Wellness in the Arts at Marshall University during her master studies. She also worked as the Lead Athletic Trainer for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2018 season, and at Orchard Park High School in Orchard Park, NY through UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2019.
Jacklyn and her husband Nathan moved to Cape Girardeau in December of 2019. Jacklyn is devoted to promoting health and wellness for all artists and to ensuring artists perform to the best of their abilities, prevent injuries, and help return the artist to performing at an elite level as soon as possible following injury.
