Dr. Michelle Brune has been named interim dean of the Harrison College of Business and Computing at Southeast Missouri State University, effective June 1.
Brune currently serves as interim vice provost and dean of Graduate Studies at SEMO. She has a Ph.D. in education from the University of Missouri, a master’s degree in public administration and a B.S. in human environmental studies from SEMO.
Brune brings more than 20 years of experience in academic affairs, facilities management, and advancement to the role. Brune’s appointment follows the departure of Dr. Kevin Dickson and search this spring that concluded without a hire.
“Dr. Brune’s experience in both academic affairs and University Advancement gives her a unique perspective on the opportunities facing the Harrison College of Business and Computing,” said Dr. Doug Koch, interim provost. “She is a collaborative leader with a commitment to SEMO’s students and faculty who can continue moving the College forward as we seek a permanent dean.”
