Financial Assistance

The Music Academy is pleased to offer the following forms of assistance to the extent that funds permit.  Applications for financial assistance are reviewed before the beginning of each fall semester. The application deadline for Fall of 2021 is August 6.

Available to school age students, all assistance is determined on an individual basis, taking into consideration each family’s financial resources, the number of dependent children, as well as extraordinary circumstances. Parents must submit a copy of their most recent IRS–1040 form along with an application form. Recipients of scholarships are expected to maintain reasonable progress, maintain good attendance, and perform at least once during the academic year at an outreach concert. Students are also required to regularly attend the appropriate Musicianship Class. Applications for financial assistance are available from the Academy office - 651-2378.

Scholarships may also be awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional talent and ability. Music Academy scholars receive an additional 15–30 minutes of lesson time at no additional cost. Students are eligible to be recommended by their teachers after at least one year of study at the Academy. Recipients must maintain superior progress and attendance and must perform at least once per semester in a student recital and once per academic year in an outreach concert. Music Academy scholars must also regularly attend the appropriate Musicianship Class.
