The Chamber Choir is open to all University students by audition. This small ensemble is comprised of members of the University Choir as well as other students who would like to sing in a choir but may not have the space free in their schedules for University Choir. It provides students experience with singing in a small group and exploring the challenges that may bring. The choir is conducted by Dr. Barbara Lamont, Director of Choral Activities at Southeast. She may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Chamber Choir rehearses Tuesday and Thursdays from 12:30–1:30 p.m. in the choral rehearsal room at the Dobbins River Campus Center (RCC 120). Auditions for the Chamber Choir take place throughout the year, including the end of the spring semester for returning students and the beginning of the fall semester for new students. Should any opening occur, a spring semester audition may be scheduled.
The Chamber Choir has also premiered a number of works by student/emerging composers and has also enjoyed collaborations with faculty and students from various applied studios at Southeast.
