“The Annual Juried Student Exhibition” will be displayed in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus April 5-21, 2019.
An opening reception for the exhibiting students is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. April 5 and is open to the public. The awards ceremony will be held at 5 p.m..
Merit awards and honorable mention awards will be presented in each of the following categories: Color Composition/Design Foundations, 3D, Drawing, Painting, Fibers, Graphic Design/Illustration, Digital Art, Printmaking, Ceramics and Sculpture. Best in Show and the Distinguished Merit Award will also be presented.
Many of the students’ works will be available for purchase.
This year’s juror is Sarah Haig, associate professor of art at the University of Tennessee-Martin.
The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus, located at 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 1-4 p.m. on weekends and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
