The “Annual Juried Student Exhibition” will be displayed beginning April 5 in the
Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum on Southeast Missouri State University’s
The exhibit, which showcases the creative talents of Southeast’s Department of Art students, will remain on display through April 28.
The public is invited to attend an opening reception from 4-8 p.m. April 5.
Awards will be presented in the following categories: 2D Color/Design Foundations, 3D Foundations, Graphic Design/Illustration, Digital Arts, Ceramics, Fibers, Printmaking, Painting, Drawing and New Genre. Best in Show, Distinguished Merit Award and Purchase Awards also will be presented.
This is a significant show for Southeast students, showcasing selected works that have been created within the past year. Many of the works on view will be available for purchase.
This year’s juror is Clint Orr, who is an associate professor of graphic design at the University of Central Missouri. He designs for various local, regional and national clients. He teaches and works in both the print and digital areas of graphic design, including logo design, publication design, typography, package design, Web design and interactive design.
Orr holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts, both in graphic design, from Louisiana Tech University.
The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus, located at 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
