Teacher Education Program Admission Requirements

The criteria for admission to the Teacher Education program are:

Students graduating Spring 2017 or later:

  • 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • Passage of all sections of the Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA) test
  • 42 hours of course credits, EN140 completed with a grade of “C” or above
  • Missouri Educator Profile (MEP) results on file
  • Pedagogy I Semester successfully passed with "credit" or "C" or above
    • ED280 Introduction to Education as a Profession or ME222 Principles of Teaching (Music)
    • CF/PY120 The Child (Elementary, Early, and Exceptional) or PY222 Development of the Adolescent (Middle and Secondary)

All applications for admission to the Teacher Education Program should be submitted to the Teacher Education Advising Center (SC308) by October 15 (for Spring admission) and March 15 (for Fall admission).
