Southeast provides a high quality network to students, faculty, and staff.

To ensure acceptable levels of bandwidth are available for the pursuit of the University's mission, temporary blocks on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) software are required. In addition, interference with the University network may result in disabling your connection until the issue has been resolved.

Web, email, and other academically related protocols are designated to hold the highest priority in regard to the Residential Network (ResNet). Even during times that blocks are removed, certain network uses rank a lower priority. Times when Internet traffic is high, lower priority network uses may not work.

It is imperative that all critical Windows and Mac OS operating system updates are conducted.

For computers to run at an optimum level, spyware must be removed on a frequent basis.
