Your SEKey provides access to: Moodle, Portal, Office 365, Wifi, etc.

The Password Reset Facility tool allows you to change your SEKey password at any given time.



  Update your Email Address and Phone Number.

The Password Reset Facility relies on having correct and current contact information in the Portal. It is recommended that you update this information regularly to ensure you can use the Self-Service tool to reset your password.

To change your Email Address and Phone Number:
  1. Go to
  2. Click on the Student SS tab
  3. Click on Banner Self Service
  4. Click on Personal Information
  5. Click on either
    • Update E-mail Addresses
    • Update Addresses and Phones

Go to the Password Reset Facility. 

Password Reset Facility Self Service tool will allow you to change your SE Key password on your own.

To access Password Reset Facility, go to:

  2. Enter your SEKey Username
  3. Enter your SEMO Student ID number (S0 number)
  4. Enter your PIN
    • Your PIN will be your two digit day and two digit year of your birth (not the month)
  5. Select Submit
  6. Select to either receive a text message to the phone number or an email to the address listed on file
  7. Select Submit

Pick a strong password.

Choose a strong password and make it one you can remember. When creating a password, your goal is to make it too difficult for even a friend or family member to guess. A brief list of best practices can be found at

Password Rules:
  • Minimum 12 characters - passwords 15 characters or more are strongly recommended
  • Maximum 32 characters
  • Passwords must contain at least one character from three of the following four groups:
    • uppercase letters: A-Z
    • lower case letters: a-z
    • numeric digits: 0-9
    • special characters: ~ ` ! # $ % * ( ) _ + - = { } [ ] : ' ; ? , . /
  • Passwords can contain spaces, but not leading or ending with a space.
  • The system will check for words not allowed (i.e. your name, repeating characters, sequential characters, other commonly used words).

REMEMBER: A randomized password is never a secure password because it was provided to you by a person.
