Dr. Carl Kinnison, Ed.D.

Dr. Kinnison taught as an adjunct instructor for 17 years before joining the Department of Criminal Justice & Sociology as full-time faculty in 2012.  Before becoming full-time faculty, Dr. Kinnison worked for the Cape Girardeau Police Department for 34 years.  In the last 7 years of his tenure with the CGPD, he served as Chief of Police.  He has also taught in the SEMO Law Enforcement Training Academy for 25 years. 

When not working, Dr. Kinnison’s favorite hobby is spending quality time with his family.  His second favorite hobby is spending quality time on the golf course.
