The Horizons Enrichment Center originally was developed to provide a day program for persons with developmental and mental disabilities in the surrounding areas of Cape, Perry, Scott and Bollinger counties. With the help of Southeast Missouri State University, St. Vincent de Paul Church and dedicated parents and caregivers, this program became a reality in August 1998. Currently the program holds Licensure and Certifications from the Department of Health and Senior Services and Department of Mental Health. We are licensed for 50 participants and have ten full time staff. We continue to seek new and exciting ways of learning and incorporating skills into everyday life situations. We work closely with family members, guardians, and providers to make sure all services provided are meaningful and justified.
