At Southeast Missouri State University, all students encounter the core learning experiences at the heart of each General Education course. The General Education program is designed to help you develop academic skills by learning the various ways that scholars in different academic disciplines seek answers to important questions about our lives. You will strengthen your critical thinking and communication skills while investigating the relationships between the present and the past and among various cultures. You will be integrating the application of these intellectual skills in ways that will allow you to gain a richer understanding of the complex issues, problems, and joys of human living.
