The General Education encompasses many units and programs that support students in achieving success at Southeast and gaining the well-rounded liberal education for which Southeast is nationally-recognized.
One fundamental purpose of a liberal education is to ensure the acquisition of knowledge common to educated people and to equip students to integrate acquired knowledge in order to produce interconnections of thoughts and ideas. Units and programs included in the School include the UI100 Experience, the Center for Writing Excellence, Testing Services, and the Center for Academic and Career Advising.
The School continues as a leader in student and faculty development by providing customized support and initiatives for the array of its programs.
