The College of Science, Technology and Agriculture offers top-quality education to ensure Southeast is the university of first choice for graduate schools and employers in the sciences, mathematics, engineering, agriculture and medicine.
Excellence in teaching and research, outstanding students and successful alumni are hallmarks of the College, which plays an integral role in Southeast's educational mission, not only by preparing those students who choose to pursue a career in fields of science, but also by providing all Southeast students with an understanding of the relation of science, mathematics and technology with daily life.
The College offers numerous courses associated with the General Education program to all of Southeast's students. The Dean, department chairs, faculty and staff are committed to the concept of learner-centered education and the value of experiential learning.

The Honors Program at Southeast Missouri State University has been named for retiring Provost Dr. Jane Stephens. Gifts received for this endowment in Dr. Stephen's name will assist the Honors Program in providing funding for professional development and leadership opportunities for Honors students to assist them in achieving their academic goals.
