Jessi Austin is the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer on Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus providing care to all performing artists. Jessi received a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Kinesiology with a minor in Theatre from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jessi is a Board certified Athletic Trainer as well as being licensed through the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Previously, Jessi worked as the Lead Athletic Trainer for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps providing healthcare to over 150 musicians and dancers. Jessi's dream has been to be an Athletic Trainer in the performing arts since being a musician and technical theatre participant from a young age. She knows that Southeast's willingness to provide healthcare to their performers is an amazing step in the right direction for her to continue her career as well as promote a need for more Athletic Trainers in the performing arts.
