Thrive in 5! is Southeast's program to welcome and support new faculty
We strongly encourage all new faculty to join the following five activities during their first year at Southeast.
August 3-4, 2020
These sessions are designed to help you hit the ground running! Learn how to access and use Moodle, the University's learning management system. Get your keys, ID card, Southeast Key, and parking permit. Learn about the University's employee benefits and how to enroll in these. Complete required employee activities, such as Title IX training.
August 12-14, 2020
The NFC introduces new faculty to the mission, vision, and values of the university. The conference also offers a variety of activities to explore and enhance teaching practice, and to help faculty learn about the support and resources available to help them (and their students) succeed. The NFC is an incredible networking opportunity!
New Faculty will be assigned mentors to help guide them through their first years at Southeast.

More information coming soon!
Faculty Development Days are open to all faculty, but new faculty are particularly encouraged to attend. Faculty Development Days are designed to explore important themes for teaching and learning, and generally include a guest speaker, break-out activities, and a networking lunch.
Throughout the first year you will be communicated with to stay in touch, offer suggestions for things to do if you are new to the area and generally make sure you are being successful in your new position. We are here to support you.
*Denotes required attendance by new faculty.
