Southeast Missouri State University will send 30 select students to Washington, D.C., during Spring Break week (March 15-19, 2020) to participate in a four-day seminar. The students will engage with the scholars and researchers of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and also participate in several interactive, policy exercises.

Student participants will be charged a $900 CSIS Travel-Workshop fee, which (only partially) covers the cost of the program, transportation, lodging and some meals. However, thanks to generous donors, all participants will receive a $500 scholarship.  Therefore, student participants will only pay a $400 travel-fee towards the cost of the program.

Students will also be responsible for the normal tuition and fees for the 3-hour, UI498 course.

Included in this cost is the following:

  • Round trip transportation from Cape Girardeau to Washington, D.C.
  • Lodging for four nights in Washington, D.C.
