Hilary Peterson is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Dance in the Conservatory of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University. Hilary teaches both jazz and modern dance techniques and has studied the techniques of Lester Horton, José Limón, Paul Taylor and Gus Giordano. Hilary is a seasoned performer and active choreographer creating original dance works for numerous Fall for Dance and Spring into Dance performances as well as the musicals Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Seussical the Musical, Honk Jr., and Sweet Charity. Her choreography has been presented at the American College Dance Association Regional Conferences, the Kansas City Fringe Festival, and in numerous venues in St. Louis, MO. She is a Born to Fly certified teacher of aerial silks and a two-term board member of the American College Dance Association. Ms. Peterson received her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Arizona and her B.A. in Dance from Hope College.
