Brodsky collection

Housed in the Rare Book Room of Southeast Missouri State University's Kent Library, the Louis Daniel Brodsky William Faulkner Collection is one of the four largest collections of Faulkner materials in the world. The Collection inclues:

  • Over 2,000 pages of manuscript materials
  • More than 3,000 letters
  • Nearly 2, 000 photographs
  • Over 1,000 pages relating to Faulkner's work in Hollywood
  • An impressive collection of visual artwork by and related to Faulkner
  • A large collection of criticism devoted to Faulkner's works

The Blotner Papers

The Brodsky Collection also includes the Blotner Papers, a comprehensive file of Joseph Blotner's research, interview notes, correspondence, and manuscripts compiled during his work on Faulkner: A Biography (2 vols., 1974; one-vol. rev. ed., 1984). These files are cataloged using the titles that appear on Blotner's original folders. The link is a searchable file.
