The College of Business and Computing offers a great opportunity for all. Harrison undergraduate and graduate students – the “Redhawk Rumble”, it is a business competition, “Redhawk Rumble.” Students participate on a four-person team in a Jeopardy/quiz bowl format with electronic scoring and buzzers. Teams can be sponsored by fraternities, sororities, Harrison student organization or Harrison Faculty member. The competition is single elimination with cash prizes for 1st place ($1000), 2nd place ($500), 3rd place ($300), and fourth place ($100). Participants not in the top four teams receive a $10 gift certificate at the University Bookstore. Individual team members have the option of keeping their share of the prize money (deposited into their Southeast account) or donating the money to their sponsoring organization (highly recommended).
Competitions are generally held during Common Hour beginning in late March. Question categories for the competition will be from accounting, marketing, management, information systems, economics, statistics, business law, quantitative methods, finance and current events. Each game will feature five of these ten question categories. Registration deadline to enter your team is March 20. Registration forms can be obtained online or from the associate dean in Dempster Hall 241B.
