Experiental Learning

We design the opportunities to further your understanding and skill set. How about hands-on learning and career development opportunities at the happiest place on earth: Walt Disney World? Southeast has had multiple students from all its colleges across many departments participate in the Disney College Program, a unique five- to seven-month program allowing participants to network with leaders, take part in personal and career development classes, and build transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication. Each role offered through the Disney College Program is a paid internship and provides a unique and diverse learning and working experience for one of the world's largest brands.

In addition, you will be exposed to a number of guest speakers from industry and from successful business start-ups. You will have opportunities to work with actual businesses in some of our practicum-based classes, and you can apply your skills in an internship locally or anywhere in the world.

“I was impressed by the curricula and the learning atmosphere of BA490. What I found were instructors really engaged with the students in and outside of class on a personal level, a class built on a solid foundation of business knowledge gained from the course studies leading up to this program in a current and relevant learning environment, and then the opportunity to take this knowledge and apply it to a real-world situation. The students coming out of this class were also impressive. They were caring, energetic and enthusiastic students anxious to enter the work environment and prepared to leave the University with the ability to effectively compete with anyone in the business world.”
