Kevin J. Magnan, of Festus, was appointed by Missouri Governor Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon to serve as the student representative to the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents for a two year term expiring 2014.
Kevin received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with an emphasis in law enforcement and a double minor in human resource management and management. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in criminal justice and is a graduate assistant for the criminal justice department. Kevin is a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He served as Vice President of Finance for two consecutive years from 2009-2011. He was Homecoming chair, Greek Week chair, Fundraising chair and Scholarship chair. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Order of Omega, Alpha Phi Sigma and the All University Judicial Board. He has worked on campus at University Receiving and Mail Services since 2010.
He completed an internship with the United States Marshal Service in Tulsa, OK during the summer of 2011.
