Luke LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was appointed as Student Representative
to the Board of Regents in March 2018 by Governor Eric Greitens to serve a two-year
LeGrand, a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting major and Spanish minor, has been named seven consecutive semesters to the Dean’s List for academic achievement at Southeast. In addition, LeGrand served as treasurer of the Student Government Association and is currently involved as a Presidential Ambassador and is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, having served as part treasurer and internal executive board member and secretary/scribe. He also has been an Interfraternity Council/Judicial Board member and served as president of the Lutheran Chapel of Hope. LeGrand is currently a student employee in the Office of the President at Southeast and an accounting intern with the Kerber, Eck, and Breckel accounting firm in Cape Girardeau.
A graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School and Trinity Lutheran Grade School, both in Cape Girardeau, LeGrand is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Brass Instrument Ensemble. He serves as a City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation referee and a farm hand with LeGrand Brothers Agriculture Service of Kelso, Missouri. He also has been a marketing assistant with Southeast’s Holland College of Arts and Media.
