Sculpture

The sculpture area strives to educate the contemporary artist within an expanding world of art. Using a wide range of traditional and experimental art-making practices, students engage in material research and hands-on investigation, culminating in a growing body of sculptural artwork. With emphasis on artistic expression, conceptual development, creative problem solving, and studio competency and safety, students within the sculpture area actively pursue a personal, artistic language and drive that will last beyond their academic careers at Southeast Missouri State University.
