Pre-Vet students, who meet requirements, must be accepted and transfer to an accredited veterinary medicine program, our program is designed to help you be accepted at the University of Missouri, University of Illinois, and other veterinary medicine programs. Requirements vary slightly between veterinary medicine programs in other states. Use the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges website to ensure you are meeting all pre-requisite requirements while at Southeast.
A Pre-Veterinary emphasis is a pre-professional program, so one cannot earn a Bachelor’s degree with this major alone. We suggest a B.S. in a compatible program such as Agribusiness Animal Science for degree completion. Completing this program will take four years for most students and then an additional four years will be required at an accredited veterinary medicine program.
