Your philosophy of teaching:
I want to foster a positive and respectful learning environment for students. While teaching, I try to encourage students to view themselves as scholars and active citizens. I support student success by setting clear yet high expectations, encouraging self-efficacy, and providing quick and positive feedback. I partner with the student for learning.
Why did you decide to teach?
I was in a Master's degree program when a faculty member approached me and asked if I had ever considered teaching. I had never considered it. He asked me to teach a lesson. After teaching the lesson; I knew that this is what I should be doing. I loved every aspect of the teaching process. I asked how to become a college professor and pursued the career. I still love it today.
