Here is a complete “To Do” list. Follow this list, check things off and make notes. The list is provided to successfully guide you to Southeast!

May 2019

  • Apply for admission and scholarships. Apply online or request one from us by calling (573) 651-2590.

June-August 2019

  • Summer is a great time to visit colleges. As your college search process moves into high gear, we invite you to spend a day with us – make your reservation now
  • Know your cumulative GPA and class rank. Compare your academic record to Southeast’s academic scholarship criteria. Southeast academic scholarships are awarded automatically, providing you meet the criteria.
  • Review your senior schedule to make sure you will meet the academic core curriculum requirements for admission to Southeast.
  • Take SAT on August 25
  • Register for the September 14 ACT by August 16

September 2019

  • Apply for admission and scholarships. Apply online, pick up an application from your high school or community college counselor or request one from us by calling (573) 651-2590.
  • Take ACT on September 14
  • Register for October 5 SAT by September 6
  • Register for October 26 ACT by September 20
  • Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school

October 2019

  • Attend Show Me Day on October 12 - register now
  • Visit with Southeast at the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) College Fair in St. Louis on October 20
  • Take SAT on October 5
  • Take ACT on October 26
  • Register for November 2 SAT by October 3
  • Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school
  • The 2020-2021 FAFSA is now available online.

November 2019

  • Attend Show Me Day on November 2 or November 22 – register now
  • Take SAT on November 2
  • Register for December 14 ACT by November 8
  • Register for December 7 SAT by November 8
  • Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school

December 2019

  • Take SAT on December 7
  • Take ACT on December 14
  • (December ACT/SAT results can be used for scholarship consideration, but you must apply for admission by December 1.)
  • December 1 - Early Admission Consideration and Scholarship Deadline for President's and Copper Dome Scholarships
  • December 1 - Recommended Housing Contract Completion Date
    Note: Housing contracts can be submitted through My Southeast, the student portal. To meet this recommended contract completion date, we advise you to submit all admission materials by November 1.
  • You and a parent (if you are a dependent student) should create an FSA ID. The FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information online and allows a parent of a dependent student to sign a child's FAFSA electronically.

January 2020

  • Register for February 8 ACT by January 10
  • January 15 is the recommended FAFSA completion date for students wishing to meet the February 1 financial aid priority processing deadline for Southeast.

February 2020

  • Take ACT on February 8 (February ACT results can be used for March 1 scholarship consideration, but you must apply for admission by March 1.)
  • Register for March 14 SAT by February 14
  • February 1 – Southeast's Priority Financial Aid Deadline - Applying for financial aid by February 1 will improve your chances of receiving federal (SEOG) and institutional (Bridge to Success) grant funds, low-interest (Perkins) loans, Federal Work Study, and financial aid from the State of Missouri.
  • Attend Show Me Day on February 17 - register now
  • Register for First STEP (orientation).
  • Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school
  • Register for April 4 ACT by February 28

 March 2020

  • March 1 – Final deadline for all scholarships
  • Take SAT on March 14
  • Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school
  • Attend Show Me Day on March 28 – register now

April 2020

  • Take ACT on April 4 (April ACT results are not used in scholarship consideration for graduating seniors) 
  • Register for May 2 SAT by April 3

May 2020

  • May 1 – Accept financial aid award offers through My Southeast, the student portal. 
  • Take SAT on May 2
  • Register for June 13 ACT by May 8
  • Register for June 6 SAT by May 8

June 2020

  • Congratulations on your high school graduation!
  • Send Southeast a final high school transcript. Your admission file is re-evaluated during this time to confirm that you have completed the required core curriculum and maintained a sufficient cumulative GPA.
  • Take SAT on June 6
  • Take ACT on June 13
    (June ACT/SAT results are not used in scholarship consideration for graduating seniors, Last ACT/SAT to take for use towards Redhawks Achievement Award Scholarship)

July 2020

  • Housing and roommate assignments mailed and available through My Southeast, the student portal  
  • Interested in working on campus? View job openings

August 2020

Welcome to Southeast! 

  • August 20 – Move-in Day for resident students
  • August 21 – Convocation and Southeast 101 – for all new Southeast students
  • August 24 – First day of the fall semester
