All undergraduate requirements for admission must be satisfied before enrolling in
the MBA required core or MBA elective courses. Students without an
undergraduate degree in business may need to complete the following required
foundation course work**:
- QM257 Business Statistics OR BA601 Graduate Business Statistics Essentials OR PY271 Introduction to Behavioral Statistics OR PY571 Introductory Behavioral Statistics
- AC221 Principles of Accounting I OR BA602 Graduate Business Accounting Essentials
- EC215 Principles of Microeconomics OR BA603 Graduate Business Microeconomics Essentials
- FI361 Financial Management OR BA604 Graduate Business Finance Essentials
- MI375 Management Information Systems OR BA605 Graduate Information Systems Essentials
**Proficiency in these areas may be demonstrated through any of the following alternatives:
- A CLEP or DANTES exam if available. Credit will not be given for these courses with a passing grade on the exam, but a passing score will indicate proof of course knowledge.
- Applied knowledge in the work environment. The extent to which relevant work experience demonstrates proficiency will be determined by the program director. Applicants who would like their work experience to be considered must submit a resume with their application.
Regular Admissions
- GPA on a 4.0 scale (overall or in the last 60 hours of college credit) multiplied by 200 plus GMAT equal to at least 1000 AND GMAT score of at least 500
or
GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (overall or in the last 60 hours of college credit) with a Graduate Record Exam Score (GRE) of 147 for both Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing of 3.5 or higher.
(When it is not possible to interpret academic eligibility by way of transcript, the graduate business program reserves the right to request further evidence of academic eligibility.)
- Minimum grade of ‘C’ on all undergraduate foundation (prerequisite) courses.
Probationary Admission
- GPA on a 4.0 scale (overall or in the last 60 hours of college credit) multiplied by 200 plus GMAT score equal to at least 1000 AND GMAT score of at least 430,
or
GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (overall or in the last 60 hours of college credit) with a Graduate Record Exam Score (GRE) of 144 for both Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing of 3.5 or higher.
(When it is not possible to interpret academic eligibility by way of transcript, the graduate business program reserves the right to request further evidence of academic eligibility.)
- Minimum grade of ‘C’ on all undergraduate foundation (prerequisite) courses.
Students admitted on probation must complete their first 9 hours of course work, including at least 6 hours at the 600 level, with a grade “B” or better. Students not meeting this requirement are subject to dismissal from the program.
All undergraduate requirements for admission must be satisfied before enrolling in the MBA required core or MBA elective courses. Students without an undergraduate degree in business must complete necessary foundation course work.

This program is housed in the Harrison College of Business and Computing. The College prepares students for the global marketplace. Alumni work for some of the world’s largest corporations to some of today’s most innovative startups. The focus is on creating and innovating, data and trends, supported by faculty mentors who themselves are leaders in business and computing.
Graduate Assistantships
The graduate assistantship (GA) is designed to provide support during full-time graduate study. It’s an opportunity for the graduate students to serve in a professional role while establishing a professional relationship with faculty and administrators. In addition to a per year stipend, GAs gain valuable experience. There are two kinds of assistantships: teaching and administrative.
