Jeremy McBroom is the Director of the Office of Military and Veterans Services (OMVS). He launched the OMVS in 2012 in order to assist military, veterans, their dependents and spouses in their academic and personal goals. Driven toward service, Jeremy has been in the military community for over 18 years. He began his journey as an enlisted sailor onboard USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) where he achieved the rank of second class petty officer. After his enlistment, Jeremy used his VA educational benefits to assist with financing his college education. During college, Jeremy was compelled by the terrorist attacks on September 11th to join the military once again. He joined Army ROTC and was commissioned as an Army officer after the completion of a baccalaureate degree. As an officer, he’s held positions in command, logistics, military intelligence, communications and electronic warfare. Jeremy has participated in multiple combat tours and several overseas deployments.
Jeremy understands the stresses that military life places on the service member and their families. He uses his first-hand experiences to advocate for and assist the military population in their endeavors to succeed academically and professionally.
