About the School

Southeast Missouri State University is a comprehensive institution offering more than 150 different areas of study. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Univeristy is just two hours south of St Louis, situated in Cape Girardeau, a college town of about 40,000 residents.  Average class sizes range from 25-30 beginning in the freshman year and students reap the benefits of a low student-faculty ratio of 17 to 1.

The Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast is comprised of the departments of Art, Music and Theatre & Dance.  Students in these disciplines receive their training at River Campus. Students desiring admission to these departments may elect programs of study that lead to either a professional degree or a liberal arts degree with a major in one of the arts disciplines listed below.  Students may elect to minor in any of these disciplines and should contact the department directly.
