Southeast Missouri State University

Real World Experience

Southeast places a great deal of emphasis on valuable experiential learning opportunities for all students. This means that while still an undergraduate, you will have the opportunity to experience the career that you will have after you graduate from Southeast. As a student majoring in Mathematics Education, you will have the opportunity to student teach in area schools as early as your first year. We believe that it is important to couple practical training with classroom lessons. All mathematics students also have the opportunity to apply for tutoring positions in the Mathematics Learning Center, located in Johnson Hall in Room 112. Helping other students is sometimes the best way to come to an understanding of mathematics yourself!
