ATMAE
The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership and design. Accreditation requires that the program curriculum be current and have high standards, include all of the essential elements, and maintain a competitive edge, so graduates can find employment compatible with their abilities and the demands of industry. The Industrial Technology Program at Southeast received the full six year re-accreditation in 2004.
ABET
ABET is the nationally-recognized agency responsible for accrediting educational programs leading to degrees in engineering, engineering technology, computing and applied science. The Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET is responsible for accrediting the Engineering Technology program. Accreditation assures that the program has met quality standards set by the professor. View the ABET Self-Study online.
