Available Scholarships


The Helen Bedford Memorial Scholarship
Based on financial need and artistic potential.  For freshmen or continuing students. (Approximately $300)

The Art Faculty Scholarship
Based on financial need and artistic potential. For freshmen or continuing students. (Approximately $200)

The Katherine Cochran Endowment Scholarship
Based on artistic merit. For freshmen; may re-apply subsequent years twice. (Between $500 and $1,500)

DCF Scholarship
Graphic design. For returning junior or senior.
(Between $500 and $1,000)

John Boardman Memorial Endowment
Art student or architecture. Must have completed 30 hours overall credit.
Must have overall GPA of 3.0.

Randy Leiner Memorial Scholarship
Art or music major. Must be resident of Cape Girardeau or Scott County. Must have overall GPA of 2.5.
Must repply each year.

Emmett E. & Gladys A. Duff Art Scholarship
B.S. in art education, sophomore or above.  Must have overall GPA of 3.0.
Must reapply each year.

Requirements for the five VPA Scholarships


Based on artistic merit.  For incoming freshman; may re-apply subsequent years. Must have a high school cumulative GPA of 3,0 on a 4.0 scale after six or seven semesters, achieve an Enhanced ACT composite score of at least 21, declare an art major or minor, and show exceptional artistic promise measured by portfolio review.  Students receiving other Southeast scholarships are not eligible

Up to a maximum of $1,500 per academic year

VPA Scholarship 2
Up to a maximum of $1,500 per academic year

VPA Scholarship 3
Up to a maximum of $1,500 per academic year

VPA Scholarship 4
Up to a maximum of $1,500 per academic year

VPA Scholarship 5
Up to a maximum of $1,500 per academic year
