Real World Experience You will have numerous opportunities to gain further exposure to the art world through workshops, special lectures, frequent art exhibitions, visiting artists and trips to view important art collections and exhibitions. In addition, every other year members of our Southeast art faculty take students abroad for course work and international art experience in Paris, London or Venice, plus you will have opportunities during the year to take department-supervised trips to Chicago or New York. Internships in graphic design, gallery management, museums and art centers are also available for students interested in pursuing careers in these fields. During your senior year, you will develop a portfolio of your art and design work and participate in a senior art exhibition. These experiential learning opportunities and professional development activities will help you build a network of contacts and expand your professional knowledge, thus better preparing you for graduate school or for a career in the art world. |
