Brandi Ritter

Brandi Ritter says that the most rewarding part of her profession as a school counselor “is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and their families.”  She is a guidance counselor and psychological examiner for Chaffee Public Schools in Chaffee, Mo.

Ritter graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005 with a master’s degree in school counseling.  She has also earned a specialist degree in counseling.

Ritter says the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling faculty at Southeast does an outstanding job of preparing graduate students for professional level work.

“The relationships I developed with the faculty were a major factor in my success,” she says.

Ritter and her husband, Ben, live in Cape Girardeau with their dog, Baylor.  In her spare time, Ritter says that she enjoys “making jewelry, painting and basically anything crafty that allows me to be creative.”
