About the River Campus

River Campus exquisitely joins the rich history of Cape Girardeau with modern facilities that serve students of Southeast Missouri State University and the area.

Visitors are welcome to appreciate wonderful views of the Mississippi, tour the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum or buy tickets for the next university-produced performance, concert or performance by artists from around the globe. Hours of Operation
River Campus is open to visitors:

Monday - Friday
8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday
noon to 5 p.m.

River Campus is proud to provide a tobacco-free campus
environment except in designated areas effective August 1, 2009.

General Information: The River Campus is home to the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts (HSVPA) at Southeast Missouri State University, consisting of four separate, adjacent units.

History of the River Campus: Learn the fascinating history of River Campus. Founded in 1838, the historic Seminary Building, at one time, housed St. Vincent's College and Seminary and is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places.
