The Office of Residence Life is dedicated to providing a residential experience focused on transfer students to Southeast who, even though they are considered first year students, may be older than the traditional first year students and classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior.

The Transfer Community located in Henderson Hall, promotes student engagement and transition to Southeast Missouri State University. Students living in the Transfer Community will live among other students with diverse academic ambitions and interests. This learning community encourages students to become engaged in their academic experiences and encourages personal growth. This community aims to connect students to Southeast and focus on issues common among upper-class students.

How to Sign Up:

Current students should participate in the Returning Student Room Selection process through the Office of Residence Life.  In addition they must re-apply to the community and fill out the application.

New students should indicate their preference for this community on their Contract for University Housing and return the application that they will receive in the mail once they complete their Contract for University Housing.

There is no extra cost associated with the Community.  If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life at (573) 651-2274 or
