Options to submit official transcripts requests:

  • Log in and submit a request online through My Southeast Portal
  • Access the National Student Clearinghouse website
  • Request form completed and signed in the Office of the Registrar during normal business hours
  • Fax a signed request form to 573.651.5155
  • Scan/email a signed request using the Transcript Request Form as an attachment to registrar@semo.edu
  • Mail a signed request form to: The Office of the Registrar-Attn: Transcripts; One University Plaza MS 3760; Cape Girardeau, MO 63701

To request through the portal, log in with your Southeast Key and password. [For assistance activating your SEKey or retrieving your password, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk at 573.651.HELP(4357)]. Once logged into the portal, follow these steps to request an official transcript:

  1. Select the “Student SS” tab.
  2. Under “Services” select “Enrollment Verification or Official Transcript.”
  3. Choose “Order or track a transcript.”
  4. Follow the prompts to order a transcript or review a previous request.

To request an official transcript using the National Student Clearinghouse website, choose Southeast Missouri State University from the dropdown menu and then follow the prompts to request a transcript. Ordering a transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse is considered a secure medium and the transcripts are official.  Verify with the receiving institution that a transcript ordered through this process and sent via pdf or electronic exchange will be considered as official transcripts on that end.

Official transcripts may also be requested in writing using the Transcript Request Form. Include current name, any previous names, Social Security number or Southeast ID, current address, date of birth, dates attended at Southeast, any degrees received, and the complete mailing address where the transcript should be mailed. The request must also include the student's signature.  Please allow two to three working days for the processing of a written request.

Please Note: Official Transcripts to be printed and mailed to overseas areas will be sent using regular, standard U.S. Mail. There are no tracking numbers associated with regular, standard U.S. Mail. To send an official transcript using a special mail service, complete and sign the written transcript request form and provide a pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope from the special mail service of your choice that can be used to mail the transcript.

Fees

Official transcripts are $10 per copy and are billed directly to the credit card if ordered through the National Student Clearinghouse process. If the transcript request is placed in writing, the $10 fee will be billed to the student account and a billing statement sent to the mailing address on the signed request form.  You may also make payment at the Cashier’s Office located in Academic Hall or by calling Student Financial Services at 573.651.2253.  If mailing a written request, you may also include a check or money order made out to Southeast Missouri State University along with the signed request form.  Additional fees will be charged for faxing and overnight mail.
