Semopolluza

Semopolluza is a campus-wide event designed to provide a fun-filled night of activities for all Southeast students. It is held at the Student Recreation Center, is free to all students, and includes traditional sport competitions, nontraditional sport competitions, free food, instructional workshops, silly games, musical entertainment (band or DJ), and activities that students may never have tried before. Raffle drawings for prizes including a bike, TV, tents, and board games are held throughout the night.

The concept was born to give students a chance for pure, unadulterated fun in a safe setting and provide them with the “last social blowout of the semester.” It also gives Recreation majors and minors a chance to practice programming skills that they will use in the workforce.

Semopolluza is planned and administered by the Recreation Enhancement Club and RC 380, the Recreation Programming Class. It is traditionally supported and co-sponsored by the Recreational Sports Department, the Student Government Association, the Residence Hall Association, D.I.C.E., and SAPE.
