Why Southeast was my 1st choice: “I was accepted at another school and was very close to going there at one point; I had even registered for housing and classes. After visiting schools, I quickly narrowed my choices down for a couple of reasons – mainly the cost and scholarship opportunities, as well as location; I decided to stay closer to home. SEMO offered me the Governor’s Scholarship. At other schools, especially the larger ones, I just felt like I was just another body in a factory that spits out college graduates. At SEMO, I actually feel like the school and staff care about me and everyone is so much closer and nice.” Ryan M. Riffel from Buncombe, Illinois.
