Kennett Campus Hosts Counselors' Luncheon

KENNETT, Mo., Nov. 5, 2009 – On Tuesday, Oct. 27, Southeast Missouri State University-Kennett held a luncheon for area high school counselors. 

Counselors were invited to learn about course and degree offerings, as well as scholarships available through Southeast Missouri State University.  A tour of the Kennett campus was also provided.

Marsha Blanchard, director of Southeast’s Kennett campus, welcomed the counselors to the campus, and Karen Tucker, academic advisor for Southeast’s Kennett campus, led an informal discussion and shared information about Southeast.  The discussion topics focused on information important to the counselors’ students as they graduate and make decisions about their post secondary education plans.

Danielle Alspaugh, associate director of admissions at Southeast, attended the luncheon to provide additional information, including admission to the University and A+ Scholarship acceptance at the regional campuses.
